"Born of Gorewood from cold, dead ground
The Queen be lost, the Queen be found
Know ye witness the season come
Know ye witness our Queen be done
"

"Each word sends a chill down your spine. Each page sends your pulse racing."

Through the fog a gnarled tree is visible, its thick branches moving in the wind.  But as you approach, the awful truth becomes clear.  Those are not branches.  Those are people, hanging from the tree and writhing as they are drained of blood by horrible creatures from another world. Screams in the air. Chaos and horror on the ground.

Halloween Horror Nights: Tales of Terror was the 15th Halloween Horror Nights event in Orlando.

Located in Islands of Adventure exclusively for the third time, it was the first time that all of the houses, scarezones, and shows were linked in a large event backstory. The Storyteller, Elsa Strict, weaved the tale of the “middle earth meets modern” world of Terra Cruentus, its ruler the Terra Queen, and her subjects. The event featured seven houses (and Rat Run), four scarezones (and The Hollows), and two special shows and ran for 19 nights from September 30 to October 31, 2005. On peak nights, parts of Universal Studios Florida would be opened through Maldaken Pass, allowing guests to ride some of the rides there and Rat Run.

In 2006 it was awarded by Amusement Today with the Golden Ticket Award for Best Halloween Event.
