Revenge-crazed inmates are running the asylum!
Only the insane dare enter the grim and dank wards of the Fairvayle Sanitarium, where some of world's most disturbed madmen reside. Crazed patients run among the guests as alarms blare and iron cell doors slam shut in this maniacal maze.
|I think I have the right house on this particular scare. It was the most frightening thing I've ever experienced at HHN, and one of the scariest things ever.
It was the first night of HHN, and the house was in a soundstage. They were pulsing people through, instead of doing the usual conga line. A group of 15 or 20 souls were taken into the first room. The doors were shut, and the lights turned out. Pitch blackness. A wolf or dog starts to growl in the background. Then, a round, fuzzy thing was run along and around everyone's legs, for what seemed like an eternity, but I'm sure was only a few seconds. There appeared to be no escape, and we would all really meet our doom in this dark, dark room. Everyone was screaming at the top of their lungs, men and women alike. The doors open. And no one, but no one, from my bunch of friends that night remembers the name of the house, or the rest of the house. We were so terrified all else seemed to be erased from our memories.
Unfortunately, from what my friend Rich told me, this effect was not ever done again, because it held up the line so long. Too bad, it was the most terrifying experience of my life, just about.
