Ok. I might have read it somewhere else. I remember it was something about the CEO of the K-Pop company involved having a car accident and getting permanently scared by it, so he promoted the self harm tread to make others feel his pain. Or something like that.
"A Mostly-Detailed Account of Dungeon of Terror from the 90s (Title"
Basically I want you to post this topic in the forums asking for the closest to a fully detailed description of the DOT houses. I would like an description of each room , what it looked like, and if there's any photos/vids of it. Also say that this request is from Madcapfalcone.
Also I think you should title the "Photo Request" thing as "Mary Agana photos".
Be sure to notify what has already been told (giant spider) and also send it on IU- I think Legacy MIGHT know what it was, despite him not attending HHN before 2002. Speaking of which be sure to say something like "particularly Legacy, which MadcapFalcone keeps insisting to me as a HHN author")
And I think NA Hollywood was a house. Again, Zombieman might know.
Our last few months of effort have finally paid off! No time to get complacent though. Now it's time to redouble our efforts, and get mentioned by at least 2 Tumbler accounts! Seriously though, well done guys. Here's to many more months and years of prosperity on the wiki. (I'm tying this at school, so have limited chances to respond)
I meant that because I wanted to use the more rare photos for the icons and I disn't want to clog up too much space (As a matter of fact I'll probably stick with the Roddy Icons, Cryptkeeper, Mummy and maybe Ravinski if I make it)
If Lady Luck had to be included (why), it would be weird to Leave out Fear as he is the "Ultiumate Evil" of at least 5 icons.
On IU, I would like if you asked for a room-by-room account of the Screamhouse maze from 2002/2003. I would like a report on (and be sure to include this on your post) things like music, hidden details, full descriptions, and random trivia. I'm pretty sure Legacy will tell you a LOT about this maze. (Please post this today)
I was just going to use the Twitter for promoting the wiki, but I seem to have gotten into reporting HHN News (or the lack therefore of). I would like to keep the wiki somewhat focused on that, but using if for future photo/information requests isn't out of the question.
I found a song that appeared in a haunted house (Only Woman Bleed- Alice Cooper in Alice Cooper: Welcome to my Nightmare (Orlando) but it's not on the audio mix. What should I do? I have a video to prove it.
I guess since everyone else said theirs, mine is The Usher, for being the icon of the first year I remember. And also vengeance is awesone >:). Also he has a pretty elaborate backstory.
Second is Lady Luck. She was the icon of my fav event as well as the first event where i attended every house. All of the houses were tied in to her in a cool way as well. (Gone 11 years).
I noticed that in the last several days, there has been only 3 Contributors as of late: Me, Ozian16 and, Luigi.
What I'm trying to point at in this thread is that I think we should start doing some cross-promoting- go around HHNUnofficial, HNN, etc. and ask if there be anyone willing to contribute to our very wiki
I want a private life so I won't do it. MAybe Luigi but I don't think he would want to be in the spotlight.
Relating and answering that, I think we should branch out and become something like HHNUnofficial/Scarezone Podcast where we could have people Like Christopher Ripley (who works at Scarezone), J. Michael Roddy (former creative director) help us with it. Maybe have some interviews with HHN alumni.
I understand. Not sure about your grand vision when there are only three of us. I would like to focus on some how getting user and contributor levels back to how they were 2010-11 before trying to use our influence to branch out into wider topics. No offence, I would just like to look at it from a purely wiki stand point for now. You can never know what the future holds however.
It seems pretty well regulated, some trolls here and there but most of their rude comments seem to be edited out by the admins. Not trying to say you NEED to have a mambership there, but I think it's a pretty alright place to be (Plus Legacy is in there)
This was created here because I noticed the forums weren't popular. This has nothing to do with you or Ozian specifically- this is where anyone can post a silly request (such as fan art) and see if someone will comply. Usually this will not be focusing on anything that can contribute to this wiki- just stuff like fanart and stuff.
I've been trying to also copy the sound here too, but conversion sites wouldn't help. Is anyone a good audio mixer? Know anyone who is? How does the HNN guys do it- can someone ask them how/if they can mix it themselves?
I'm thinking of putting a new thread/wall called "MAdcapFalcone's Very Long List of Requests that will give superiors headaches" (I'm hald joking, half serious here). Because I got a new one relating to this.
Oh mind you, my requests are certainly NOT gonna be done in a few amount of time. Some I'm pretty sure will be done much, much later (one of them involves the HHN wiki Facebook idea). Some I have requested before (Legacy). And they aren't easy (Sorry if I sound harsh). I'll tell you later, I forgot about it.
Oh and have you read my Karr/Keaton thing? Should we just wait?
You taking about the Karr/Jack thing? Ok (I think Karr has his own twitter page although i'm not sure if he uses that often)
As for one of my many requests:
Seeing as I'm not having good luck with any sound forums (they keep bombarding me with ads and crashing); maybe sometime you/Luigi/anyone can ask if the guys (Gambit) at HNN if they can help? Because some of the sounds in the Music Mixes have excerpts from the past websites and I wanna know how/ if they can get it.
Also would like their input as to what the story of Maldaken Pass is (I'm gonna write a page). I understand what the experience was, but the backstory I'm a little muddled about.
"I would be more interested if they kept the old archives."
Whoever is running the HHNVault now (assuming it isn't a troll) better have them. Otherwise I don't see the point of bringing it back. HorrorNightNightmares is already pretty popular (helps that the whining significantly decreased), has an archive of the past websites; along with HHNCrypt (save some of 2008 and most of 2009), and may even have some rare pics/ info I'm surprised they didn't release (although this is based on one hunch.)
If The HHNVault really is being brought back, I would like to see some 91-05 galore. I would also like them to bring back the forum as it was (based on archive.org; it had some fun ancedotes and really cool ideas); but I highly doubt it's possible.
I have to wonder why it was closed in the first place... if it had some well recorded ancedotes of the past, it find it kinda jerkish to take it all away.
I don't know much about the vault, except it was the orginal HHN forum. But the only reason any website closes tends to be one of three things:
1. Run out of money to hire the domain
2. DMCA copyright clams
3. In real life drama that forces people to stop running sites
4. Getting bored of running the sight so shut it down.
(P.S, if the whining has significantly decreased, how bad was it before now?)
Part of my reasons for not going to HHN (aside from uneasy suspicion, disinterest) is because of the burnout from HNN. Granted I only followed from 2015, but even then the forums were AWFUL.
Everytime something gets posted, there was always SOMEBODY whining about "HHN SUCKS NOW!", "AIELLO IS AN IDIOT" and so forth. There was always this wave of negativity going around that it was hard to enjoy speculation. And if HHNLegacy (a hhn fansite) is going on, this level of jerkishness has been going on since 2012.
Fortunately, some of the more unpleasant members got banned, and if there's any talk about HHN's quality, it tends to be more civil.
Criticalanalysis (that's the guy) was banned from HNN, he said so himself on the InsideUniversal forums. So far, he/she actually seems rather pleasant there, even exchanging some cool photos from HHN 16. If only he had photos/vids of the Mary/Usher projections...
Oh he/she disliked far more than the Purge, mind you. Also have to correct myself, he/she seems pleasant recently- apparently he made some racist comments revolving "GET OUT" that were deleted by admins on IU.
I was just deleting wanted pages and seeing if they were wanted or not (spelling mistakes, not putting (Hollywood) etc. and I saw there was a lot of red links for films and the like, and I would like to know if they should be gotten rid of or not.
This is an "in advance" request (very), as it relates to the fabled HHN Wiki Facebook. Jim Udenberg used to own a makeup website called makeupfx.no, which had pics of various HHN-related makeup jobs (such as the 2003 commercial). However the site has since been taken down.
When/ if the FB happens, I would like Udenberg to at least notified of this, in hopes that it could be brought back (I tried to look through archive.org but it doesn't have pics)
An interesting theory from HHNVault's defunct forum:
"At any rate, just look around on the website, in Mary's world time is by no means a constant. You're travelling from 1958 to Victorian London to a future where we have a spaceship traveling beyond the limits of our solar system.
This means that if she wills it you can return to a time or place in the present, past or future and experience places and meet people that have either long been dead, havent been born yet or never actually existed."
I think there should be a poll as to if we should create a page for "the Mirror".
I would just create something saying the page was speculation but if you don't want to make it then.. Alternativly it could just be based on what was shown in the ad and the website. As for the second question, please defer to a post I made about 4 hours
(P.S are you going to watch the Oscars?)
The only reason I want Margot to win is because she was in Suicide Squad, a move that I thought was quite good but most of the world hates with a burning passion. Also because she's an amazing actress.
Glad you know who the Cinima Snob is, personally one of my favourite online critics, went he’s not making DCEU jokes that is.
Margot didn’t win. That woman from Three Billboards did, like she swept every other Best Actress catagory of every other award show. It was a very predictable Oscars this year. Every movie everyone thought would win a certain award, did.
For comics I'd say they're the same- some good stuff hampered by some incredibly idiotic ideas (Harley's new outfit, Nazi Steve Rogers)
As for current films? I haven't seen (or at least remember) any MCU movies before Civil War (i believe), but I found them all enjoyable. I like Raimi's first 2 Spiderman Films and Homecoming.
Has not seen TDKR and MOS. Batman Begins and the Dark Knight were awesome. BvS is pretty poor (some interesting ideas that should have been in a diff. movie) and I think the extended edition actually sounds weaker from what i heard (IHEOfficial and CinemaSins). I found JL enjoyable but that's because It's been a long while since I saw the Avengers- and supposedly JL borrowed quite some from the MCU film.
I've also have not seen Suicide Squad- don't know if it's good or not, but Leto's Joker (which I have seen from clips and pics) was enough to turn me away.
The only MCU films I’ve seen are Gardians of the Galaxy (which was reasonably enjoyable) and the first 5-10 minutes of the Avengers. I found the Nolan trilogy increadably badass in all respects. I haven’t seen MOS, but I do own the BvS Ultimate edition and I can report that I found it to be good, but a bit too long for what it was trying to be. I’m also one of what appears to be 3 people that likes Jesse Esinburg’s Lex. I thought Suicide Squad was enjoyable, but the pacing is a Bit off. Margot Robbie is also fantastic in it and I want to see more of Flag and Moone in the future DCEU. Wonder Woman is an incredible film that I would recommend to anyone. Believe the hype. I also found JL to b enjoyable, and I am firmly on the no Snyder Cut side of the debate.
Here's your first taste of the second list- even more nerve-wrecking than the first!
While browsing through archive.org and the old IOAcentral.com site, I saw a short video on the Port of Evil from 2003. It opened with a look at some television sets which contained extra footage of the 2003 commercials with The Director- interviews, jesters, etc. (there's a pic here which shows one part)
When the HHN wiki facebook thing happens- and again, this goes to a whole level of insanity- I would want to see if someone would somehow have a full HD video of that and the All nite die in queue video. And I don't mean recordings- I mean the real deal. Maybe speak with Gianni Garofalo (who played paulo), Roddy, etc. It would be great if we could upload it to Youtube- that way we can put it here (plus my new "Audio Project").
There's a youtuber called "Cow Missing" who has an archive of HD videos from the Universal parks vault (such as Terror Tram/Jack HD videos)- however he seems to only have Hollywood exclucives.
